Regular employee wages/health insurance/pension/401K plans are the #1 OPEX in any corporation, including ExxonMobil.
Also, if you are 55+ years old with 15 years of service, you are eligible for a retirement pension (annuity or lump sum) along with post retiree health care benefits if the retiree elects to stay on with the ExxonMobil healthcare plan post retirement.
If you sum up all of these costs for the 58,000 regular employees, the long term implications can be considerable. ExxonMobil is much better off selling underperforming assets, transitioning to a long term model of "we will own the assets, but 3rd party service providers will operate the assets" model.
This company makes money by firing high cost employees. Oil and gas are secondary concerns at best.
We don't find anything new. We buy our way into things then run the asset into the ground.
Exploration is a joke. JA is worthless and dishonest. Knows the leads are total BS but sells them anyway.
