Audit received year and reviews before the holidays… We don’t know our pitiful raise numbers yet or bonuses but we did get our review

Social Security and Disability are government programs for fixed income retirees and those who cannot work due to medical issues. They have nothing to do with the private sector. Of course they both give COLA adjustments.

This is likely the first small bump in the road for millennials. There are inevitably harder times ahead, there always are. Things get a whole lot harder than this.

My advice is to work harder on the job hunt. Start a side job, maybe do an Uber in the evenings. So many of us worked multiple jobs simultaneously to raise families. And guess what… that will also will increase your social security.

Of course there is always the drop out and go on welfare process. I’ve met intelligent street people in San Francisco who are loving life.

When inflation is 10% & you get a2% raise, you got a pay cut. Those annual raises use to be a yearly raise for serving another year & to bring your pay up with the new cost of items due to inflation.
Why do you think soc security went up so much this year.

@rrd

No pay cut. We all have dollars that are worth less because those who whine thought that had voted themselves things.

The problem is that many managers refused to give the corporate mandated % of "below expectations" ratings to their staff because they know those people will be goners so it has complicated the HR layoff process.

Same reason that reviews have not been dropped. If you got a BE in December you would just sit at your desk watching Netflix for a month until they kicked you out in January.

Effectively the review process has now become fired and not fired.

We were told we'd get them the week of the 16th. I'm sure they're waiting until after the layoffs. We have a couple of volunteers in my group who are hoping to retire with a year's extra pay.

Mine was released to me yesterday and I was asked to acknowledge. Manager said they'd have a review discussion at our next one-on-one.

Not true. My whole team has received and closed their reviews.

Nope! Reviews will be released post layoffs the week of January 17th.

Also some major reorganization occurring within certain units which is why no vacation planning has begun in some LOBs.

What review haven't had one in 5 years - and what's the point as we are going to take a pay cut this year anyway due to inflation!
