@k5 Verizon Labor Relations .They notify local Union pres.that it intends to offer an EISP in a specific organization, title, or geographic area.Which they have and like it or not the union ensures the offer is administered according to the contract

@e0 new 2026–2030 Verizon/CWA agreement does not prevent Verizon from offering EISPs during the contract in fact if not enough accept the offer,Verizon may proceed with the contractual surplus process. VZ it wants to reduce headcount, especially as the wireline network continues to shrink. No one can say when or for which work groups, but I wouldn't be surprised to see offers during this contract.
@e1 I don't entirely disagree with you, but saying union has "no power" after a recently approved 4 year contract extension seems a little bit disingenuous.
@e0 union has no power, that vanished years ago. Just holding on for dear life now. A carcass ready to be picked over.
