The large disconnect between Truist Messaging and the way it treats its employees and clients has to be the greatest hypocrisy of any marketing campaign. Employees are being set up, thrown out, and reputations smeared. Clients are getting over engineered loans and being pushed out aggressively for no reason. This doesn’t seem to fit anything w purpose? Certainly isn’t making better lives and communities. Definitely not unwavering with care!? How can you throw some many lies out there and think the public won’t figure it out? Great job Bill. You get an F for CEO. Failing grade.

@hr When a worker or manager is openly documented, everyone on the teams are aware that there are no problems with that individual. Even so, the director still singles them out in public meetings as being wrong and during meetings, accusing them of doing nothing correctly. After that, they share rumors about fictitious issues with other departments or serious confidential inquiries they are trying to work against that individual. They will say, "Complain about it and see what happens to you".
@er I see it now. You are writing about Cathy Bessant.
@eq how are people’s files “openly papered?” And where do you see Bassett is going to be part of the BoDs? Can’t find that.
In what way are customers “over engineered loans and pushed out aggressively?” And as far as employees? All corporations now treat their employees like cr-p and are expendable to the bottom line.
Too little, too late. The BOD should have kicked BR to the curb years ago. I really don’t see any path forward to recovery for this company. Most of the best people have been poached off and those that remain are just “doing time” until they can collect on their pension. It’s been five plus years and there is nothing positive associated with Truist. I’m speculating that the new CEO and new BOD members are going to start gradually dismantling this bank and selling it off in pieces. I still can get past the fact that such a small group of people could cause so much destruction to a publicly held company.
@eq what do you mean by papered?
We will see how quickly if at all the messaging changes with a new sheriff in town. Don’t think the arrival of Bessent on the BOD and a new CEO aren’t related. I would expect further BOD changes and some upheaval among the executive officers also. Turning this bank will be like turning an aircraft carrier. Not so easily done. The damage is severe and the name on a golf tournament isn’t going to fix it.
Our regional premier director and retail area leader find it amusing when people's files are openly papered by them. This reveals a lot about the environment, culture, and climate of the bank under Bill.
