Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Weird trend

The laid off like the BEST people ever earlier this year. Then I see posts lately of bottom of the barrel leaders accepting leadership roles at Cigna this summer. Like why would they hire them and layoff others beats me.

Company has been drained of most of the best people through VR and JE earlier this year and incompetent people continue to rise up the ranks. Look at who was just made president of Evicore.

cost. those tenured employees negotiated their salaries well during years where the company paid high or gave cost of living salary adjustments. yearly raises even being 3.5% is a significant cost. there are MANY employees making well over $200k

one thing extremely taboo to discuss at Cigna is salary.

the problem is that currently high earner are targeted… but that will change to target middle earners, then low earners. See where this is going?

@bk That tracks, one of them is the d-mbest person I've ever met in my life who keeps using AI generated headshots and posting about how she looks in each headshot on LinkedIn.
