Shell has first mover advantage by selling non operated Nakika asset. This simplifies the company significantly and creates capital and capacity where it’s needed. Now BP will have Talos as a partner. Talos going to learn the hard way how slow and complex BP really operates.
Why didn’t BP sale when they had a chance?

@x2 what great talent?
Time for bp to divest Nakika! Simplifying the footprint and reduce deadwood and redeploy great talent
@em, That doesn’t make Shell a significantly simpler company….that just makes some NOJV people in Shell looking for another job.
@dt no hassle working with the BP teams and reducing abandonment obligations
How does Shell selling its NK stake simply the company “significantly”???
BP should preempt the sale and make an additional 35,000 bopd.
