Anyone else all of a sudden being micromanaged by their people leader? I just had the strangest one-to-one with mine. It’s usually been pretty good but this was almost hostile and very uncomfortable. I did put in for the VSP and I’m just counting the minutes until I can get out of there. But this makes me nervous – are they trying to fire people before they can qualify for this? I don’t think she knows that I put in for the VSP – but my people leader and her Supervisor are acting like none of this is happening. We never talk about it in any of our huddles and they’re just tightening everything up putting the sc--ws to everyone and acting like everything is normal. Major gaslighting! Such a dysfunctional place…

No!
@a5 - Oh yeah ...lol... its starting to feel like a cruel social experiment right now =. Between peers asking the older folks if they are taking the VSP and why not if they didnt ... and the absolute STONEWALLING going on by scared management . Well we are living in a pretty interesting work world right now ...
@cs Please stop polluting every thread with this repetitive nonsense.
Good for you for speaking up.
They are negligent in not giving you answers, and gaslighting with the "be considerate of others" line, seeing as YOU are going though it, too!
Whenever someone tries to censor others who are bringing up legitimate topics for discussion, it's usually because of one or more of the following:
They have something to hide, and don't want it being aired out in the open
They feel intimidated by someone lower on the totem pole challenging their position
They themselves have been shut out of discussions amongst their higher-ups, and have only had info. trickled down to them in a silo/only "need-to-know" basis; so instead of admitting to you that they simply haven't been informed, they try to shame you within the group, accusing you of bringing up "sensitive subjects".
They do as they're told from higher-ups to keep their traps shut, under threat of losing their own job.
In other words, you're dealing with weak, insecure phonies with no backbone, and as someone else already stated, these people don't hesitate to throw others under the bus, if it means saving their own scaley snakeskins.
Pity, side-eye, scoff, and even laugh at them, but definitely don't trust them.

More bait lol
Completely agree, this happened last week too, I tried to ask about the "situation", and subject was just changed... Then on a "meeting" I was asked to be considerate of others going through this! Like!!! I'm going through this, ME! WE ALL ARE! ANYWHO, let's keeo not talking about it
This update does not change our overall situation. We are still facing VSP buyouts and potential job cuts. Any new thoughts? 🙄
@a2 oh please! This is not a bait post… I’m actually an employee at Centene,-an RN UM going through the same experience you are. WTF!
Definitely going on. My PL, an all time great boot li---r, has somehow found a way to boot lick even harder. Hey genius, if we could meet production goal, we wouldn’t be having this RIF stuff would we?
Yes. Didn’t even take the VSP and have never had an issue before.
@a2 what in the world are you talking about? It is definitely true when a company starts with layoff alerts management will do anything and everything to try to look good to keep their job and will start micromanaging and nitpicking. Not all management and PL will do this but it's not uncommon for them to throw their staff under the bus.
This feels like a bait post. Cut it out!
