The mediocrity of Middle Management at CENTENE- SUNSHINE in Florida

I am astonish to discover after some research, how many of those middle management people at Centene have just a high school or just or just a CNA. I cannot reasonable understand how they can provide with real leadership and evaluate people in a real balanced way. What can we expect from people without any education to The Cost-Efficiency Model: Corporations often prioritize the ability to "do more with less." A manager who can reliably enforce corporate mandates and keep the department functioning within budget—regardless of their academic credentials—is often viewed as "effective" by the organization, even if they lack the capacity for the systemic, empathetic leadership. I understand now, why the government is checking and following the health care organizations....

Emotional intelligence and critical thinking should be a requirement. Education doesn’t teach how to manage your emotions. I can respect a person that doesn’t know the job, but willing to admit it and “lead” effectively. Some people look good on paper- all the right credentials and horrible people. (Don’t care about grammar, spelling, and lack of comprehension-you should see the emails before AI from some leaders with or without the highest level of education)

That’s a ridiculous take. I know plenty of people who are in executive leadership positions in various industries who are fantastic in their roles but did not graduate from college. You learn how to be a leader from experience and understanding people.

@g9 i bet you are spot on. Offshoring was probably the end goal all along from the start. It was probably a six or seven year executive plan.

It’s step one in replacing American workers with H1B. Pass up qualified workers and put unqualified workers in positions of importance. Then when it’s time for replacement with H1B, it’s an easier sell. Executive leadership is not as d-mb as they appear. There is a plan in the works. Once H1B is in place offshoring is much easier.

Some of the d-mbest people with no critical thinking skills Ive worked with have a lot of degrees and certs and some of the smartest don't. I have a Masters and am not dogging on degrees but judging competence based on them is ignorant. Experience and having critical thinking skills are way more important.

@OP imagine working in claims and you have sups and managers who cant process a simple claim but can turn around and say your not doing your job rt but when you ask can you please show me what you mean you get thrown to a lead for the answers

I won't generalize, but I'm pretty sure I've known well respected professionals with "just a high-school diploma" who are more prepared, empathetic and more inspiring than you will ever be with that way of thinking. Welcome to the real world, nowadays smart companies rather hiring people with talent and experience over varsity academics who lack of empathy, social cues and leadership skills... Just saying!
