This company is a lost cause at this point. I know it’s a tough job market but when the opportunity arises - go for it. I interviewed with Mars last month. Although I didn’t get hired - I did make it far into the process and it was good to get exposure if another role arises there that aligns more closely with my experience. From what I’ve read - the overall culture and employee engagement and satisfaction is much higher there than this mess. Plus just seeing a little light at the end of this dark tunnel boosted my confidence and mood.

I can fix it overnight.

Every president SVP, VP and Sr Director is gone.

Director + all work for Elliot group. Add in 2000+ merchandisers.

@av they are so shameless that if it was the Japanese they know the honourable way. Resign and apologise to all

@ag there is definitely an attitude in Plano that they are something special and deserve the best (and most expensive) of everything, regardless of whether it moves the needle for the business. There is also a lot of nepotism that is contributing to the rot.

@ad leadership needs to lay themselves off. They have failed abysmally. Unless the board wakes up and replaces CEO and their useless cabal, this is a sinking ship

Everybody I know has either switched to private label brands or just given up eating this junk food because it's bad for you. Like someone else commented, if you just look at the "ingredient" label on any Frito product you would think Dow Chemical got into the snack business. PEP's market is evaporating.

And Ramon seems to pin hopes on Doritos Loaded type of AFH growth, NO! There is no volume there, if it does take off then those stores will be looking for catering size bags of generic chips - doesn't help PEP profits even if it takes off. Really, just forget this concept of restaurants and food stalls. US needs to concentrate on cost, cost and cost again, go see how cheaply things can be done in Latam and the Far East... FLNA gold plated approach to everything they do is the real issue.

Just spend one day at Frito HQ in Plano and the problems will be blatantly obvious

It’s not PEP, it’s Frito US. International will soon be bigger than US. They need to get off their a** including front line

Sounds like they need to circle the wagons at PEP and get better alignment on goals and objectives by having more meetings and creating more PowerPoints, that should help them get back on track

PEP still doesn't get it, consumers are spending, but just not on their uncompetitive, expensive products, like $8 potato chip bags half filled with air. PEP products are no longer perceived as "premium" brands consumers, they are perceived as "rip-off" brands that offer no value.

Translate. Layoffs are coming.

If we can't sell, the costs are the issue.
