From what I've seen, there has been a pattern of pursuing products and initiatives that are outside of our core business. There was the robotic vacuum venture, VR-related offerings, and high-end ECM solutions tied to IRIS, none of which appear to have delivered meaningful results.

Now the focus seems to be shifting toward fax integration, laptops, and managed IT services. While diversification can be important, I'm a Canon copier sales professional, and my livelihood depends on successfully selling copier and print solutions. That's where my expertise is and where I believe our strongest market position exists.

If my primary goal was to sell vacuum cleaners or laptops, I would have chosen a different industry or worked for a retailer like PC Ric7ard & $on.

@jf Or the quiet quitting will get brutal for management.

@hw that’s the point. Make it brutal so they will quit. The “summit” needs to be cancelled.

Nothing but a yawn fest. Meanwhile, the competition is churning out new equipment. And Canon? Crickets 🦗. If the C-suite execs think AI will save them, along with the Google fiasco, they are delusional. It's obvious that the C-suite folks are adapting by rolling out new equipment. And they are too pricey. Let's make the salesperson's job brutal by ja--ing up unattainable quotas by selling high-priced equipment. Recipe for failure.

@ef it was a waste of a time - enjoy your tall glass of Sammy-sunset with an umbrella to shield you.

@eb sounds like the leader who hated on the sales team during the call Wednesday.

As always a promotion and less work from leaders. Looking forward to the BS Google slides to follow showing how effective those promotions and changes are.

@a1 Ex-employee here to CIIS: between him and GR, two of the most useless people in Canon history. If you want to survive remove the broken mechanics. I am also hearing from resources he's going back and he has no idea Inc is calling him back. From what I gathered they are not happy with him and his old regime is no longer in play. Wish you all the best and keep your heads up.

Many other bodies within MSU should be termed but they will just likely be promoted to further damage the company. Who needs the VPs we have now ….those 2 are useless and have been for years.

We are doomed with our MSU leader. I was told he managed the old CIIS group, and everything he touched failed. He was responsible for the failure of products, initiatives, and wild concepts that amounted to nothing. Ladies and Gentleman this is our leader now? This coming from many of his old employees! I don't personally know him, but I've heard some crazy stories.....
