@OP

When employees and their jobs are threatened with Layoffs, Bad "Managers", Bad policies, Low or Stagnant Salaries or Career Growth-No promotions, Employees become Trojan Horses and engage in surreptitiously or not so surreptitiously Sabotage, and throw wrenches in work and the work environment.

Sabotage includes but is Not limited to Quiet Quitting, doing the Bare Minimum work, stalling or delaying work, Not sharing or divulging knowledge, information or skills, Not volunteering for extra work/projects, etc..

The above results in De@th by a Thousand Cuts for companies, and prevents the companies from being competitive.

This is one of many reasons why Citi is stuck on the Incompetence Stone Age Merri-Go-Round 🎠🎪 it can NOT get out of with a vicious cycle of Consent Orders, monetary fines, technology Fvck Ups, etc..

Citi is now basically a credit card and custodial bank, and its peers are Capital One, HSBC, State Street, PNC, Standard Chartered, BNY Mellon.

On every performance metric and level, Citi is at the bottom of the pack.

Quiet quitting also means Doing the Bare Minimum Work.

Just as other posters mentioned, don't be a SME, but be good enough to do the work or job to a bare minimum.

We're All or most of us will be Rated 3s anyway regardless if we do Rated 1s/2s level work because Sh!tibank is Broke AS$ Poor and nickle and diming employees for every cent it can squeeze out of us.

This is one reason why In-seat promotions are only 5% of employees annually.

So why bother to exert and waste the time, work and effort when we'll all get Rated 3s salary levels and bonuses, or in some cases Zero bonuses anyway???

Don't use a mouse jiggler, I've seen people fired for those, they can tell if it's not real keying. Best thing to do is land right in the middle of the team when it comes to production, don't be the best and don't be the worse.

Never become the ‘SME’ on anything. Take your time on projects assigned and make some mistakes so they go to someone else next time. Be slow and pretend not to fully understand the whole assignment. Arrive somewhat on time but take your time settling in. Leave a bit early and stay disconnected. Stay distant on conf calls. And by all means do take care of yourself.

@OP don’t respond to emails/ IMs because nothing will happen, I know from experience. Take however long for lunch and just log it as 30 mins.

@a1 my manager is a pu--y man child. He hates being called out but nothing happens when he is called out. He just retreats to his life saber
