Any talk of layoffs in 2023? January?

My forecast is, same sh-t different day. New opportunities arise and some positions will be removed as the company attempts to consolidate work under the latest "insert initiative plan here". Plan will not ever get completed before they come up with a new plan because company is too big to move that fast and people in power often dislike other people in power so they impact and the cycle continues. What trend I do think will continue is more and more jobs will be outsourced offshore because their cost overall is cheaper for the same skills.
