Thread regarding CDW layoffs

How is managed services doing post-RIF?

I know there were deep cuts of talented people even younger engineers. From my time there, I recall there were already many positions that hadn’t been back filled.

They're mostly brain dead who look to do the bear minimum to keep their jobs. Constantly finding ways of doing short cuts to keep things going, the vast majority won't even sniff at 2nd line

How is Managed Services so far at CDW lately? Significant improvements? Any synergies from the Sirius acquisition with respect to Managed Services?

I ask because it has been pretty bad just 2-3 years ago - and I say that because it was based on old school Datacenter Managed Services model and there were complaints that we couldn't do real Cloud-based Managed Services- which was the big growing opportunities. We were also very disjointed - for Services you'd have Managed Services and then Pro Services. It meant proposals and SOWs were separate. Other orgs treated them co-jointly and so it was a more unified experience and model for customers. We had 2 different stream model.

Better actually. There may be something to be said about the new talent and energy. I am still a disbeliever but they are proving me wrong so far. Its still early though. Let's see if they can maintain the surge.
