Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

If Elon Musk buys T-Mobile

You think you have it bad now?
Just wait until you are expected to be on call and available 24/7 under Musk.
Oh, yeah- he loves H1-bs, too.

@ma We were told that years ago in engineering. If you're paid a salary, you're on the clock 24x7. It was annoying to get a 2am call because some tech in the NOC couldn't follow clearly written instructions.

@m6 So some third party site somehow has better data than USCIS, the SOURCE of the data?

@aw https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-and-studies/h-1b-employer-data-hub

And for some reason formatting changed the numbering.

Tesla is #14 and T-Mobile is #73

The dataset is from FY2026 through 3/31. From the FY2025 dataset its:

  1. Amazon
  2. Meta
  3. Microsoft
  4. Tata
  5. Google
  6. Apple
  7. WalMart
  8. Cognizant
  9. JPMorgan Chase
  10. Deloitte.

Tesla is #32, T-Mobile is #79

Just wait until Srini makes it mandatory to eat curry as you work your 18th hour.

The sad part is that so may sadistic TMO SVPs have no idea how to actually run a business. Consumer Group where the only thing that matters is your number not the quality of customer.

@ac Where are you getting that data? According to this site: https://www.ellis.com/resources/companies-that-sponsor-h1b-2026 Tesla is currently ranked 16th in most H-1B filings. T-Mobile is nowhere to be found.

And Infosys, Tata Consultancy, Cognizant, and Capgemini all feed into the big tech companies. Needs to be made illegal.
