Let’s motivate ourselves to leave. I’ve applied for 3 so far and I’m applying for at least one today. How many jobs have you applied for so far?

@br that actually makes a lot of sense. And ironically makes me feel less annoyed about these.
Though I doubt they are solely using it as a screen to confirm identity, I'm sure they're also running your responses through AI and returning some kind of evaluation to the recruiter. That part is still annoying
@bd That little hoop is because AI has allowed offshore folks to masquerade as onshore, leading to US jobs getting hammered with fake applications. It's essentially a DDOS for US job seekers.
So you have to make a video that will match with who they see during the interview.
@ap it's beyond annoying that these have become a thing. At first I was just opting out of these (and sending a polite note saying why I was withdrawing my application), but they're becoming ubiquitous and it's better to just bite the bullet. Incredibly dehumanizing though
The best part of the interview process is the dehumanizing little videos they require you to record before you speak with a human. Are we applying for a job or to be a Twitch stream personality?
@ad Their going to terminate you anyway if they really want.
Most people here don't realize we're already in the endgame. Better to go down swinging and maybe at least get a wrongful termination lawsuit in court than to be the company's slave that exploits your wages/salary.
You have to apply for 5-10 every day to get anywhere.
@a8 this is precisely how you get yourself terminated without severance at WF
Stop being a coward and instead try to be the difference you want to see in your office. Change starts with us as workers, not leadership.
based on my recent experience you will need to apply for hundreds before you maybe get a few interested and actually land one. look me 4 months.
Interviewing for a job is a nightmare right now. I’ve stopped applying until I hear otherwise. If I get canned before then so be it.
