Another moonshot?

All Citizen smoke and mirrors. Any warranty guarantee that features good for 5 years?
IBM doubtful; Nasa - maybe - but 5 years is a long tech horizon.
Interesting that most commercial products (HW or SW) in US require to support for 5 years ... but that's Citizen who has no overt fiscal contract with NASA nor Watson.
Heck how long did Watson Health last? Only long enough to realize (Ginni) it wouldn't be profitable a year or two (duh) vs something IBM could have OWNED as in days of yore...
Nasa's rover do great compared to expected useful life.
IBM however - time has run out - in particular doing nothing interesting (like a rover).
WTF. Hybrid cloud (ok, but...) on Z (really? 4-5 years maybe?) and Quantum (yeay - the ONLY moonshot left - but I'm not sure I see it as resilient if they don't retain at least parity in the technology.
Sad IBM compared to days of yore when it was into everything (lots of interesting new things) and (then) an exciting place to work and WITH OPTIONS TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT unlike now.
Branding something with "Watson" is the mark of death. A failed technology that became a failed branding exercise.
Probably no chance they start doling these out for making Quarter Century club like they used to with Rolexes?
nasa has a dead rover and for ibm, it's already over.
