Is anyone else struggling every day not to just walk away?

@em I worked for Amoco/BP for 40 years in the IT field and was told many times that if I left BP I would not get more pay elsewhere. That was totally wrong.
It took a while to get the job I was after but the pay is substantially more than BPs. Network and keep trying and the job offers will come. By the way, I am 73 and love the
work.
Just leave, it will be the best decision you make for yourself. It may not be easy but believe me there is better opportunities outside of bp.
Daily… only thing keeping me here right now is the hope of a package to be let go this time. If I don’t get one, then I’ll walk. But I would rather be paid to leave first.

I get sick of being associated with incompetence. I have had bp’s failures sited to me in interviews with other majors.
In this economy? Not really. Every company that pays relatively the same is a sht show and aggressively cutting back. Pick your hard.
The salary is just too good to quit!
I’m certainly keeping a keen eye out for my equivalent role or above being advertised at any (ANY) comparable company. But I guess you could say this is just ‘normal’. It’s a shame as if this utter tomfoolery wasn’t going on I wouldn’t be looking at all.
