Health insurance

Why is no one talking about how bad the new plan is with United Healthcare? I don’t know what I did to make Abby hate me so hard but seriously this is the insurance company we have a contract with?!?!

@ch hopefully that's the end of it. Good luck if you actually have a disease that needs a long treatment. Everyone's a hero until punched in the face with reality.

The insurance is okay if you never have to use it - so don't get sick, hurt, etc.

When you need care, the deductibles and out of pocket maximums skyrocketed this year! And if you have to deal with UHC for a prior auth or when they deny something that should have been covered, it is a nightmare on top of whatever you were already dealing with requiring you to receive care. UHC is all about delay, deny, defend and putting "Care" in their company name isn't about care for the insured but about caring for their bottom line only.

We had to switch to my spouses BCBS. We are lucky to have that. UMR was terrible for us. And now UHC is worse. A lot of providers don't want to deal with these two and prescription benefits aren't great if someone needs a specialty dr-g.

The health insurance here is horrible compared to other financial companies. The only people who think its good have worked their entire career at Fido

@a3 we switched from umr to uhc and coverage is way worse. If you see doctors regularly or take prescriptions daily it's been jarring.
