@ev You may want to look at what Cisco UC is doing because of the Broadcom tax. UC is now supporting NFVIS for smaller deployments that are UC centric and Nutanix for larger deployments that are not just UC centric. Many customers are formulating plans to ditch VMware or have to leave VMware since their VM usage is not large enough to accommodate The minimum license buy in.
Nutanix wishes. Nobody gives a sh-t about HCI anymore let alone wants to pay sky high nutanix prices. We dumped all our hyperflex junk on them to get rid of a liability. HCI and nutanix are completely irrelevant in the AI space so why would anybody want to acquire them?
Cisco buying Nutanix would be a gift to Broadcom. Nutanix would go down hill just like every other company Cisco buys. Broadcom's VMware would take back all the customers it ever lost to Nutanix.

Nutanix would be a good acquisition play to make us relevant in the VMware alternative space. Cisco has a good partnership there but could become a more serious player with storage, Virtualization, and container capabilities native to our portfolio. Unfortunately this isn’t cool AI and the focus on Compute is fading, despite this being a high potential growth area for the company.
