A little background, my store i was originally transitioned into an indirect location back in November and I accepted a rep job at a different location back when it happened. I went from manager to rep, which I am very happy I did, but if my store I am at now gets transitioned I think I'm ready to go. Idk this time around it feels better and that it isnt actually a bad thing but it is a good thing. If this company doesn't want me I'm going to do something for myself. I hope it happens.

For years, I was hoping i m not on list. Survived past 15 yrs, but now it feels this is coming anyway, and ready to accept just get out and find something else outside. Yes, outside is not easy to find, but it is just not anymore will to stay under this leaders who only knows to RIF to survive hence VZ will be doomed anyway or sold out to some other corps.
yeah last layoffs in VCG most of the people who were cut were rehired by their friends into different spots.
S. @a2; it’s not about capitalism. Verizon is a horribly run company, just look at the stock! Their “leaders” have no idea what they are doing. They are only concerned with managing up so that when things like this happen they can save themselves. Many have no concerns for their teams. Basking Ridge is the worst. I know a SVP who was let go in the last round but was able to scramble and save his job and insane pay package. His team wasn’t so lucky! Other “leaders” only promote from outside their org. In 3 years working for this guy I never saw him once promote anyone on his team. After the last VSP he had several sr directors take the package and he backfilled them, plus himself because of course he was promoted too. None of the hires came from within his team of over 100 people!
@a3 I took like a dollar cut but my commission has been a lot more.
did you keep your same pay when you transferred down to rep?
He-l yeah man transition your talent to a smaller/less cynical company. Or start your own. Can’t fight capitalism
