So, we moving to Tennessee?

Thoughts on how this will all go down?

Caribbean remote workers will be asked to commute.

@16w you've clearly never visited Nashville before.

@k7 Sure, they'll find PLENTY of local talent lurking in the Nashville suburbs. No need to be in a place where people actually want to live!

The idea that LA is where you need to be to have access to creatives is antiquated. Creators are remote and everywhere. They are only in LA because the studios are nearby. They will go wherever and don’t originate in CA. Yeah many old schoolers are there but it’s not the future. It’s like saying a recording studio needs to be in Nashville to be in country music. If you can do obssession for low budget outside a studio you can do any movie anywhere at what you’d call a normal Hollywood budget.

@d4 They also managed to crush a large number of movies and shows. DE needs to clean house before the merger. There is still hope for WB content.

It's simple. Stop working with 70-80% of "creatives" who were hired in the last 10 years.

@ck top LA talent left long ago. Most of it during catch-and-release DA era. Most enduring ones left during Newsom and covid. If you are still in LA and you consider yourself a top talent, I have only one thing to tell you: HAHAHAHAHA

@cr all the liberal creatives hate DE, so it would benefit for him to clean house and restart in a red state

My vote is Mars. It feels just as strategic as moving creative headquarters away from where all the creatives are.

WBD has offices Knoxville, TN and Paramount in Nashville, TN, so it could happen.

Not so crazy. Oracle is moving HQ there.

Even if they designate the HQ to be in another state, we'll still have some presence in CA. Too many of the companies we work with are still there. Why are we in nyc? Other than our long term lease, we have tons of partners in nyc. Not sure what locks a studio to a city other than convenience to the staff.
