The call was a desperate attempt to rebrand on her end to try and "win" us back. The glasses were gone, bringing up Krasny and the paper ad (a culture she will never understand that was thriving here), mentioning the "misconception" around our new business model of laying people off. She was trying to reconnect with us. However what she fails to realize is no one below C-level believes anything she says anymore. And of course, zero accountability brought up about poor choices she has jammed down this company. Overall, just another fumble in her long legacy of them.
@db sounds like the tamp-n is stuck on you. Krasny is still alive. Sounds like you skated by at CDW if you are expecting anyone to prove challenges, when you have not listed any from yourself.

We succeeded regardless because other than cry, we would get together and overcome everything together. Kras is turning over in his grave now. What you don’t realize is that he was tough as nails. @aa you do not even work for the company yet, or understand the culture or what really goes on. Or even know how good this company used to be to work for. Were you even born then? You can put on the big man on campus speech, but it is unfair for you to call anyone bitter. Many of us in here have been with the company far longer than you have been working or in school. Many of us also hold college degrees from universities far more credible than yours. Also, stating your income and whatever you got is prohibited in the rules of handbook and grounds for termination. Your $96k and stock options can be axed at any time like many other valuable employees. Your stock can also be taken away, ask anyone of us who got stock and it was taken away few years back.
As for the speech today. I was honestly shocked she brought up Krasny. I thought it was disrespectful considering Krasny would not do what she has done in her 6 or 7 years as CEO. He built a great company, he started this. She and her leadership made the decisions to lay off, and many with 20+ year tenureship is gone.

You sound bitter, and are likely part of the problem. We are eager to get started and make this a winning company. I am a new hire and recent graduate of American University, and I also interned at Dell as an Intern. I just signed my offer letter for 96k salary plus stock options and a promise of Casterly Rock. I am excite to start in two weeks and a half. We will not let you down, Miss Leahy.
