Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

nearly 2 weeks to go !

MO advised that the company will commit to providing a date by the end of July to confirm whether roles are impacted by the new organisational design. Has anyone heard any intel on numbers, percentages, or which parts of the business are mostly impacted? It all seems very quiet… the calm before the storm.

T3-7 are all already signed off and locked, announcement to employees will be July 31. Selection for T4 and above done by end Sept, levels below by beginning of November. Notifications will be timed to holiday season (end Nov through Dec) to maximize demoralization.

Enjoy the holiday ham Tiny Tim.

@ps oh yes, they’ve already started to protect their favorites. We have had a lot of managed moves in the past 2 months in the function I work in.

@OP It does feel like some managed moves have already happened people quietly shifted into safer regions and roles while everyone else waits for clarity. With less than two weeks to go, the silence is telling.

MO’s update about giving a date “by the end of July” feels more like a placeholder than real transparency. No intel on numbers, percentages, or which areas are most exposed it’s unusually quiet. Honestly, it looks like the calm before the storm, with the real decisions happening behind closed doors while the rest of us sit in limbo.

If your a white male of 40 and not near a wellhead or wrench 🔧 you’re viewed as expendable by the gynocracy…and, you keep over delivering…diminishing returns starts very soon..;

Can you imagine the injustice that Bernard the predator’s EA and his favorite wing man are at the highest levels of the company today. They didn’t do their job to council or condemn the predator…they enriched themselves. Now they will lay off (more like sacrifice ) 6666 hard working people.
Is this normal? We are at a junction either drastic positive changes or chronic challenges to all that remain

What group or discernible features is BP looking to get rid of?
White men over 45
Women in support roles
Middle level managers?
Finance so function can be exported

Do your least until your secure…and join KD’s curse of bp.
Employees need to suffer and sacrifice for ELT level mistakes…
This deserves Thunderhorse declines to 99,999 bbls or less in August
