Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

@e6 he does spend a lot of time with AI. I’ve seen it firsthand, he knows the space better than most executives I’d wager.

The ENGINE comments were pure marketing though. On paper many of them are very seasoned, but once they show up - IF they show up - the skills often don’t match the resume. That messaging is just being massaged before it gets too far up the chain.

Someone recorded it but unsure if they will release the recording. He made some boasts about ENGINE and deals with Microsoft. General tone seemed casual. Talked a lot about AI coming across like he spends a LOT of time on this. There were some comments also about $ savings, and that might be one of the topics he might not wish to have on the recording, along with ENGINE hiring info. Honestly was shocked he shared that our ENGINE hires are more seasoned than they expected and in general really good because that’s not what we have been hearing from others or experiencing firsthand. Surprising that he was unaware that the meeting was being recorded.

So many great in-sites from people who can’t even use teams or outlook effectively
