Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Fair or not?

Median employee compensation is $93,397, while three-year average profit per employee is only about $4,083. This suggests comparatively solid employee compensation despite weak profits during the measurement period. The result may change considerably when the business cycle improves.

@OP. I love how you make it look like Ford is almost not profitting LOL. If you are not a manager, you should be... you have the needed stuff to become one: the lies, the deception, the gaslighting...

A simple Google search will show "Ford’s three-year average net income (profit) per employee is $3.51 K. This average is calculated from recent company figures, reflecting strong fluctuations across recent periods: $34.38 K in 2024, $24.56 K in 2023, and -$48.41 K in 2025"

So the company should make a profit above a third (1/3) of the average salary per employee. Not bad. The reason the profits per employee got shrinked almost ten times, says a lot about the awful quality of the management (and vehicles) in this company.

But if you want to talk about "compensation", I must say that some of us are not compensated enough to deal with the bad management. Some are not compensated beyond 40 hours of work weekly, even when working 60-70 hours (wage theft). There are employees with hundreds of hours of COMP time, and they cannot take the time off because their schedules don't allow it.

So @OP, please, F off. I have plenty of lies and Yes men to deal with everyday. No need for you to add to my load...

@bj This doesn't feel like a normal company. It's like a system where people recruit others into the same situation because it benefits them, even if only in small ways. They can't leave. That's how the system keeps itself alive.

And it's not just Ford. It's bigger than that. The whole state of Michigan, maybe the whole country. Look at how long people like Epstein operated in the shadows. How long did the system let it happen before anyone was held accountable? You think the people in charge are going to investigate themselves?

You think our government isn't covertly interfering in the lives of your children in covert ways?

The amount of profit each employee generates is not relative to compensation. Each Ford Motor Company employee’s job is to make Bill Ford and the Ford family rich. Simple as that. Employees are willing to work for the average compensation of $93k so it doesn’t matter if each employee only generates $4k in profit or $400k profit.
