I am passing on the VSP. If they give me the layoff after with fewer options....I'm not doing s**t until my end date. I'll be only working on my resume and leads! Good luck, all!

I saw this coming and with the round of layoffs in Oct, found myself drowning in additional work. I also knew with the “mission simplify” and AI push it would only get worse. I got out before the VSP and with rumors of additional layoffs coming this summer, the back biting, I was just done.
I had mentally quit and was buying my time while I job searched and applied for other positions. I was lucky, stumbled on what sounded like a good fit with my skills and it was. I get to continue to do what I enjoy somewhere else that at the moment seems more stable.
If you are truly over it, get busy looking now, before you are all looking at once with probable mass exodus/RIFs coming.

I did nothing for about a year and worked a 2nd job while at centene and working from home. I contributed nothing because I knew what was coming. I got laid off in april and left smiling with a bonus. Centene does not care about you and neither does any other corporation. You are a pawn so make it your best for YOU only.
@c8 Agreed. The last team I was on Medicare appeals let go 90% of the team. We had to work 6 weeks and was watched very carefully with metrics. The majority of the work is now done by an offshore team. In order to get our severance we had to keep it all going and not quite quit at all and no discussing any money amount.
im a high performer and signed for the VSP. i will never give them a chance to play with my severance package by “quiet quitting”, this is self sabotage. please dont do this.
Town Hall yesterday to tell us to stay on track and how “busy” we are! Sure Linda! Then why are we all getting offered the VSP? I don’t get it and over it! Let me know if I am approved and moving on.
I’m literally doing the same right now. Not eligible for VSP.. why would I want to stay if given the opportunity, with a company who has done this to their employees? Giving 100% has gone out the door.
What did they expect people to do when they tell everyone your job is on the line. The motivation goes right out the window!!!
