will be lots of consolidation and outsourcing. what happened to 100% US based?
greed ki-ls and these big company mergers need to stop. when has it worked out for middle/bottom??????
Field Operations only:
Business planning will no longer have management area staff. For us, that's about 3 per MA. Regional level will have 3 total analysts (up from 2). Confirmed with other regions they received the same news.
The operation data analyst role will be entirely eliminated at the region level. They already gutted that position two years ago.
Project management is being cut in half at the region level, no more project managers for specific departments or management areas. They will all report to one regional director.
There are impacts to HR staffing also, but I don't know the details.
A friend from another region said their regional design team is being laid off, not all regions have their own design team though.
@hq I have also seen that construction is going to move more to using contractors for coordinator positions and more consolidation in Field Ops leadership within MAs and Regional roles.
Lays off in regions and moving some positions to HQ. Consolidating. What depts will still be in the regions? What depts will be in the field and not at regions?
@gg Design team from which department.
Design depts were told by lower leadership that design is to be unaffected by the pending layoffs and field ops structure changes
@dh the funniest thing about the netops being outsourced is how much this company spent on adding the American flag decals to all of the company vehicles and then turns around an almost immediately starts outsourcing. Winfrey seemed like he knew what he was doing when he took over, but now it’s clear his job is to just package Charter and Cox up into one company for Comcast.
@cy I believe they were told by HR and senior management
designers and NetOps as well
@cn did they send an email or whoever was impacted was notified?
@ch this was communicated on 7/21, it’s unclear if this is just field operations or any business planning
@a1 when did it happen?
This appears to be company wide
