Thread regarding CDW layoffs

Used to be a great company

Somehow, over last 10 years, especially since 2019 things have gone to sh-t. Now, you may say it's her and I'd agree but I think we have major problem stemming from the weak c-level lineup (and one layer below).

The higher ups seem to be doing pretty great. They're posting pictures of their golfing and World Cup trips on the company LinkedIn page.

You say it’s not Leahy but it’s absolutely Leahy. She’s the one who put the incompetent leadership layers in place. She has completely failed to innovate and lead the industry. She lost the locker room a long time ago. Leahy set the company back a decade because let’s be honest, it’ll take that at least that long to retool and regain the trust of the market. CDW is a lost cause.

@OP It's not just her—it's the directors and the executive leadership as well. The reality is that they no longer seem to care about their employees the way they once did. The culture has changed dramatically, and not for the better.

CDW used to be an incredible company. It had a culture that valued its people, invested in its employees, and recognized that its success was built on the relationships and experience of its sales teams. There was a genuine sense of loyalty, and employees felt like they were part of something special.

Today, that culture feels like a shadow of what it once was. The focus seems to have shifted away from people and toward numbers, making many employees feel like they're simply replaceable. The seasoned sales representatives—the very people who have spent years building customer relationships and generating the majority of the company's revenue—no longer appear to be valued or respected the way they once were.

It's disappointing to see a company that was once considered one of the best places to work lose so much of what made it great. The culture that set CDW apart has largely disappeared, and many longtime employees can feel the difference.
