I wonder if AK will show up for the Earnings Call today ? If he does it will be interesting to hear him explain away $70B

@b7 Already hard enough getting motivated to waste my time sending out resumes, which seems pointless - as you so clearly point out. But as much as I completely hate your comment, I suppose it is true. Not even those I know with a job where there are openings will support my application - don't want my old stench wafting into their future job stability. This has been the case 10 yrs already. But still I don't appreciate you putting these ageist garble into the universe. Anyhow, the truth is - I was running circles around my younger colleagues typically. But if you are not perceived as having potential, you are sc--wed. And based on demographics, I have not been seen as a person with potential since I was 24 and already dealing with ageism in the field of economics. Tired of having to run my own business, but looks like I will have to go back to it again.

@e0 Well maybe if Expert Labs wasn’t overpriced, customers would have bought it. Just like everything else with this place, TEL priced themselves out of the market. Why would a customer pay you when they can pay a BP far less for the same results? Don’t get me wrong there are some talented folks in TEL and they work with CSEs. They don’t whine about them like you do. Regarding the CSE program, point that finger at Rob Thomas. He f’ed up the CSM program and what do you know…deployments tanked. Gee who saw that coming? Oh yeah…everyone!

@dq "CSEs are a free service..." Isn't that the problem? Which companies are offering free services? No wonder 2Q results were a disaster! Great job CSE!

@bk Wishing your fellow IBMers get laid off? What an unprofessional and inappropriate thing to do. If you don't like someone because they're doing your job for you, the problem isn't them. It's you. If I were you I'd be more worried about your own job. CSEs are a free service. You're not.

@bk interesting. I’m in TEL and in my experience the CSEs I’ve worked with have brought us in for multiple opportunities. Maybe they just don’t like you.

@b7 yep. I am a very young looking 60 year old who had kids late in life. I am finding it impossible to get hired anywhere. But I have saved a lot of $$$ as I have been expecting to be laid off by IBM for the past 20 years - so dropping out as soon as the unemployment runs out.

The worst part is I was really great at what I did. And before Arvind, loved it. But sadly my "bosses" were morally and creatively bankrupt. They were the worst and like Arya in Game of Thrones, I pray nightly they will pay. Hopefully they will all suffer for destroying my career and livelihood. Ge----l warts of the brain seems about fair.

@a7 bye bye… I hate CSEs, you are just another cast these days that eat Expert Labs lunch!

Stay in your lane, or good riddance!

AK the clown never mentioned the $70B in market value that he destroyed

He is much worse than Ginni in terms of tearing down the company and destroying morale. She was no great shakes , but he ripped it down. So many incompetent leaders under him. Could care 2 cents about employees, product quality or customers .
. I was there for all of her , and 4 years of him.

@ax It's very hard for any of us. Im in the middle of my career and it's going to su-k for me though I'll find something, but think about someone who is in their late 50s and NEED to work 6-7 more years to save and make some kind of decent retirement for themselves. Who's gonna hire them? Not many companies unless they have a specific need. The whole thing is pathetic. Early in my career here, I had a manager who made me a team lead and in charge of scheduling. He told me "remember - every name on this schedule isnt just a person. It's also their family." Nobody on the shtty executive team thinks this way. They dont give a sht.

@a7
It is very hard for employees at the beginning or in the middle of their careers.

Alvind talked to his magical Bob, like Aladdin with his magic lamp. Bob came up with a solution (like Aladdin lamps' genie). Alvind will unveil his plan. Customers will spend Billions on IBM AI (Bob and WatsonX). None is to be RA'ed. A sizable salary increase to all US based employees.
Everyone will live happily after.

The part that is the most frustrating is that it’s us and our families who will suffer for this. He’ll be fine with his golden parachute. I’m a CSE in Horizon. I expect to be PIPed or RAed by Christmas after we get our new new new ridiculous IPLs in August. This place is a joke.
