Anyone else received a meeting invite from Brenda Bermudez at 3PM EST? No context at all.

@dw The only thing discussed in the meeting was the departure of a director and a VP. Nothing else was discussed. It was just a short meeting to notify us that these 2 individuals are no longer with the company.

Layoff in Florida.
Can someone summarize what happened? And who all are being for sure affected?
@db Could be. Indiana employees were forced to take ICHRA this year. This forced many into having to take Ambetter. State wide coverage not great and out of state coverage even worse. No HSA, larger OOP, and copays for generic meds. This is being rolled out company wide and it su-ks. No wonder enrollment is down. Now they are forcing the employees into the plan to pad the numbers.

I mean really hmm- 8/1 is actually a Saturday. That would not be the effective date of a layoff. Maybe 7/31 is the last day with people being notifiedearlier in the week or the week prior?
Heard there's a massive layoff in Florida right now with an effective date of 08/01/2026- no VSP; it's a layoff - so I'm assuming you're all talking about that right - my heart goes out to you all.

@a6 oh my. Work with both of them and they were always so helpful for my department when assistance was needed. So sad this happened!

@ae They didn't mention if they left voluntarily. Brenda sounded shaken up by the news so it gave me the impression that it was involuntary. She told everyone it was hard news to hear and suggested everyone take a break after the call to decompress, take a walk outside, or whatever needed to take care of ourselves.

What happened? Was this voluntary? I was on lunch when the meeting was sent and missed it.
@a5 2 VPs for ambetter shared services are no longer with the company. and all the yada yada yada about business continuity.
no word about individual employees or VSP….. this concerns FL peeps though.
Adrienne Cohen and Elizabeth O'Connor are gone effective today. They plan to fill the roles.
Yeah “please prioritize” isn’t good at all. Usually precedes “your role has been impacted.”

@a2 this meeting was sent out to 229 people.
Layoff meetings usually happen on Thursdays with the title of "Check In." I would think this meeting may be to inform on the status of yours or others VSP status. I don't know for sure, just speculation.
