Why work that hard when you can work at Oxy and get paid lots of money but only put in 3 days at the office plus a few hours on your work from home days. The work schedule at Oxy is a joke in this environment.

Hilcorp can merge those Oxy leases with the APA leases they acquired in 2024. They are selective when hiring, only people willing to work >50 hours a week at the office. Usually even techs have to be there for the operations meeting at 7 am, and they give you the stinky eye if you leave before 5:30. And compensation is good, if you stay longer than 5-10 years.

@gn Why would Hilcorp take anyone from Oxy? The industry knows Oxy is where you end up if you can’t make it anywhere else.

Why did folks not go to Hilcorp with the sale? Hours are long and no WFH(and no 9/80) but you got paid very well at Hilcorp. Would have been a good chance for most folks.
