The mess we're in is because of incompetent leaders. They got their positions through connections, not skill. And it shows.

Hmmm the post about HR leadership was removed…pretty suspicious.
HR and the CHRO KA are the worst with the favoritism and hiring incompetent leaders. It’s all about making sure your favorites are hooked up. This place is filled with incompetent leaders. I dread going to work every day and hope I’m able to escape this awful place soon.
+3 Aerospace remains trapped in a perpetual cycle of rebadged operational frameworks (like shifting from legacy Honeywell Operating System/HOS-style methods to new acronyms to AOS) and leadership shuffles because corporate boards prioritize short-term investor optics and risk aversion over structural manufacturing reform to ensure long term success. If the board dug deeper, many of the executives would no longer be here.
@cg every company hires executives through connections. Honeywell just has a particularly bad culture where they look for fellow “yes men” rather than “someone they know who would be good in x role”

That is EXACTLY the problem. You must be one of the inept managers that got your position by "your connections" and not according to your knowledge.

The problem is we don’t value diverse perspectives and seem to only have a single way of evaluating leaders, resulting in glaring deficiencies across every other conceivable aspect needed to run a successful company.
Exactly. When the "general manager" at the Aero location that I worked at told me, "Physics has nothing to do with what you do". It was then that I knew that it was time for me to leave. I laughed at him when I was informed that I was talking over his head.
I should have had a discussion on quantum mechanics with him, his head would have exploded.
