Thread regarding IBM layoffs

IBM Is The World’s Worst Big Tech Company

IBM missed every major tech revolution from PCs to AI, shrinking to a $200 billion market cap while private OpenAI is valued at $900 billion.

IBM, which has been poorly run for decades, is on the ropes. The company has had plenty of practice managing decline. When it warned about its earnings a week ago, the stock dropped over 20%. It is down 30% for the year, while the S&P is up 9%. The picture is even bleaker from another vantage point: in early June, the stock changed hands at $329, but it trades at very slightly better than $200 now.

The check has come in for all DEI. Just look at any of the leadership org charts and that is your story. Ibm has been mismanaged horribly for a long, long time. All the narrative about talent not existing within the US is bullsh-t and needs to ends. Leveraging the visa system and H1B is what ki-led Ibm.

Unfortunately IBM has nothing really to offer except of deeply rooter mainframe business. And there'll be a time soon who's going to take over that in couple of years. Ginny, and mainly AK and his squad ki-led anything else. Not competitive in any other areas. IBM is done, completely. Sad to say and see the total downfall of once a great company.

Just look at the average annual revenue growth rate of every other big tech company for the last few years. Most are well into the double digits. Meanwhile, IBM struggles to even grow at the rate of inflation which is really no growth at all.
