Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Dallas brunt

I am a fool. I underestimated Dallas commute, Parking and the 8 hour requirement. What a mess. Door to door is 11 hours for 5 days a week. What the he-l? How are my fellow 50 year olds taking it?

Shows the booming economy right now. Should be easy to find another job if the commute doesn't work for you.

@c1 "you can work another 4 hours a day and get more done"

Sorry, work done while not connected to the corporate wifi does not count to my 8 hours, so I will not be doing that. 8&Skate, it can wait.

50 something here. I took the package. Stayed in my house, in my city and my kids stayed in their schools. My commute is about 20 minutes during the school year, under 15 without. Best part is that hybrid work is encouraged as many of us are close to the office should the need arise. We want to save the parking spaces for the folks who actually are saving lives.

Welp. Time to go enjoy the commute to the kitchen and up the stairs.

You should have taken the severance. Don't worry, you’ll get another opportunity in the coming months.

Carpool? There are literally hundreds of employees going in the same direction as you each day.

Atlanta peeps relate. It takes 1.5 to 2 hours getting around metro. Bottom line about how we do it- how many bills do you have to pay?
