Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Too far gone

In the last 15+ years, we've had two incompetent CEOs, countless reorgs, several acquisitions where we bought for premium prices and sold for cheap, and a complete erosion of culture. I think the rot is so deep at this point that any new leadership would need a miracle, not a strategy to fix this mess.

Nah. I'm not putting in a full 8 at any time. And I refuse to leave sans severance. Just the way it's going to be.

So sorry that it's twisted your pa-ties so. Find a way to live with it.

Too bad loyalty being dead does not apply to the CEO level. Based on his performance, he should have been gone a long time ago. To top it off, his open disdain and treatment of his more senior employees is shameful and illegal.

Can anyone list any real accomplishments that Stankey has brought to T? The guy's a joke, making an average of $1M+ on the 6th and 21st of each month, plus all the perks free health dental, private financial advisor, persoanl chef, free vehicle, driver, security..on and on and on think about this when you feel the need to do the pick-me dance and work past 5 or on the weekends, or take calls, and respond to emails while you're on PTO, or lose your PTO because work was too important.

It’s not going to change until all of a sudden it does (see Enron). Do your 8, collect your check and go home. It’s a job, not a way of life. For far too many it’s a way of life and they’ve already told you they don’t care about your loyalty. Quit waiting on a package/severance and just retire already, why are you even still here?

When the one who was tasked with what became many of these recent bad decisions is now the one in charge, there's nobody in power to kick him out. So don't count on any major changes soon.
