Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

How is this NOT a conflict of Interest?????

ATT and Blackrock are entering into a Joint Venture to start Gigapower which will be a wholesale fiber provider, see link.

The issue is that Hans Vestburg is on the board of Directors of Blackrock. Is this not a conflict of interest?

Conflict of interest doesn't apply to execs. Most of the Verizon execs (Hans, Sampath, Shankar, etc) aren't from the US. They don't believe US rules/standards/laws apply to them.

nothing happens to the excs on top ,they are like the kings of the old world ,they get away with everything that how the world is. you opening your mouth and they come after you and they will get rid of you and you co workers that agree with you will just turn their backs.

Did Hans just get smoked again? He had to have known about this well in advance.

It sure seemed like a conflict when Vz mandated employees take the vaccine. Blackrock was one of the top investors in Pfizer and J&J. HV did not announce the mandate but put up a lackey to announce it for him. The Ethics dept will do nothing and if you mention it in survey they tell you in the feedback to report it to the ethics dept. The Ethics dept at least owes it to employees to make some statement saying something about these things with Blackrock as they surface are not a conflict for HV. They would fire rank and file in a heartbeat.
