Not entirely true. Worked at Wells for more than 10 years, got the ax in late 2024. Got a job at First Citizens. Many remote roles including mine. Bank is in fairly good shape overall from what I can tell in my part.

Not really. The execs want every type of person gone.

You have extroverts to blame for rto.

It all begins with a handful of consulting companies who employ an army of 23-29 year old cologne-wearing dweebs who are paid to produce PowerPoint slides by volume. Just a ton of d-mb sh-t being cranked out and the c-suites are d-mb enough to believe it! All of it!!

@aa They all use the same consultant companies. That's why every company issued the exact same "we believe collaboration blah blah" RTO statement. When blind obedience is the only valuable trait, eventually what you get is a room full of brown-nosing mo--ns sitting around the table trying to figure out what to do, so they do whatever their overpaid consultant tells them to do.

More evidence that the vast majority of executives are a complete waste of money. They have no original ideas and su-k at leadership also, so it's burning tens of millions to keep these losers around. There's no upside. We could have had the same consultants tell a dude making $100k/year exactly what to do.

if it's a major national bank or a superregional... it's the same. Add to that pi** poor "merit" increases, forced rankings, etc.
