If you're looking for a company that will give you a lot of busy work and waste most of your time on cumbersome processes and irrelevant and repetitive meetings that accomplish absolutely nothing, this is the place for you. If your goal is to do mostly nothing while being paid for it, welcome to middle management!

I've been retired for 20 years but enjoy reading the comments here.
This company has never bought software that worked as promised.
Even the replacement software had a new set of bugs & required us
to "work around". Me....., I used to just check the boxes, fill in the
blanks and send the product on for signature required from schedule
of authorizations and get on.
Very few 2nd levels knew what was going on & I can guarantee that 3rd
levels and above were totally clueless.
Six Sigma was to eliminate defects in the process. This was replaced with leadership taking bribes to purchase applications full of defects that leadership mandates we utilize. We have to now work around the flaws of the new 3rd party applications we can’t improve instead of it helping us improve our process and quality.
Please don’t get me started on IBM standard answer “your request wasn’t in our contract to support “
I spend most of my time checking the boxes and making my "metrics". Does this help the company, who knows, quit caring some time ago, it sure helps my paycheck though. God Bless "leadership" with their Six Sigma, Lean, MSOC or whatever management philosophy AT&T has adopted 10 years after it was proven to be a failure.
just retired with a lump sum last week = happy
That about sums it up. Time to go home. Our work here is done today.
We will rinse & repeat on Monday.
