People who are approved and were given dates in late 2026 and beyond can still be laid off in involuntary layoffs? Is this true? I would be so, so pi---d if this happened to me. This feels like psychological warfare at this point. How much more inhumane can this leadership get?

@at We were told that it would be listed as a VOLUNTARY separation from the company, no different than resigning. So, I would presume that unemployment would be contested.
@aq Does that also apply for call center? i have been told many times by my supervisor and upper that call avoidance is against company policy, and if we were fired for breaking company policy, we cant even apply for unemployment, I would imagine thats the same for severance too no?
If you got laid off before your scheduled VSP date you will still get your VSP. Don’t believe all the lies and rumors going around. People are just dramatic and causing trouble.
@OP I have never heard of that but I have heard of people who got fired before their separation date.
Yes - true. VSP doesn't do anything really for the individual and is all about how to limit the company's liability.
