I've always wondered why so many jobs at AT&T are called "management" jobs....

The actual reason for the management title saving money is to slowly move away from union jobs.

If you are a “manager” at the company and are paid hourly you are just a union employee without the benefits.

Att lawyers and hr are just as likely to be bad at their jobs as everyone else in the company. Att has paid out for flsa lawsuits before. Anyone ever had their job suddenly changed from exempt and wonder why?

Sorry, you are wrong, this does not apply to AT&T. Not because they are nice but because getting caught is expensive. Go find something else to be a basement dwelling conspiracy id--t at.

This has been going on for a long time. Why do you think salary jobs are going overseas? They pay much less per headcount, and the labor laws are extremely lax.
