Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Percentage of those who are returning to the office

Is there any way to know the percentage of employees who have been going to the office regularly? I'm still only going occasionally and I'd like to continue that but if the overwhelming majority is going, then I might have to suck it up and start going in on regular bases myself. Still, if there is any way to avoid that, I will, and knowing that many others are also not complying would be helpful. Strength in numbers, as they say.

They probably won’t suddenly go from not saying anything to you about how often you are in-office to corrective action. In all likelihood, once your LOB decides it’s a problem you’ll get a warning of some point.

Why continue to allow this nonsense. FRTO

Honestly, I’m going to continue to try to do a great job getting my actual work done and do the absolute minimum to check the RTO box. Driving to and from an empty office 2 hours on RTO days, takes away from my actual work. But that’s how my company wants me to prioritize my time.

Can't find announcement on TW, either. Legal issues abound w/comm. rollout (and vagaries of exceptions).

doesn't matter if you didn't get the email.

it's on TW. it's part of guidance to managers.

Managers have been told they will be held accountable for their team's attendance.

No manager is going to let it slide if it's their neck on the line.

And yes, the reporting shows that attendance has gotten better since this came down via OC in early january - even before the Bei & Scott email.

Wells loves to talk about moving forward, doing things differently, adapting, not getting left behind… yet here we are sitting in cubes spread out all over and avoiding eye contact in person lol. It’s the obvious deception for me babe.

Maybe, but the id--ts making these doomed to fail decisions are temporary. We get new leadership every few years, so time is about up for the NYC clown show. Everyone has already tuned them out already.

You all realize this is just the beginning of a slow climb to being back in the office 4 days then 5 days, right?

Hopefully this pound down from mgmt will all calm down in a few weeks when they see a report that pacifies them. Hang in there....stay off the "list" as best you can and we'll ride out this storm

I have seen a few new faces on the floor in 2023 but for the most part the buildings seem to be at least 50% empty if not more.

They sent an email outlining the expectations and consequences of not returning.

What are people on your team doing? If you are the only one not going in, then that will likely be an issue. Do you have any PTO carryover? I see a lot of people using PTO to only go to the office twice a week.

It’s been pretty busy in the office since the ultimatum and threat of corrective action message has gotten out. I wouldn’t try to force the issue.
