I applied for 2 positions in departments I previously worked in and was basically ghosted. Even listing "REDEPLOYMENT" didn't seem to matter. Sad part is I actually excelled in those departments in the past. As someone stated, when they are done with you they are done with you. We got told we were redeployed and never heard from anyone again. I always told folks not to believe the "FAMILY ENVIORNMENT" talk or "Sr Leadership (DM and Above) Lip Service". In the end, I found a role with another company. Thanks for memories (ha!) and the severance. If you are still there, look outside.

Redeployment should not be so tough, in my previous company they would give preference to internal canadidate over external, in C1 redeployment is seen as a privilege you need a sponsorer to push your case, you have to market yourself, after all this, you may be lucky to even get an interview call. It is not worth the effort, better try outside.

C1 is a predatory credit card company to provide credit for the poor and they sue debtors in court themselves because they don't sell off the debt. Never bank or get a credit card from them !!!

Attended an event today in which a senior person talking highly about C1, felt sad that even at the helm he did not understand the business that giving credit to people with low credit scores and garnishing their salaries is the way they make money. He talked about values of C1, makes good talking points they themselves do not practice, no respect for employees laying off on a zoom call, how it goes with the value of respect. Laying off 1200 employees without giving any reason what happens to “openness”. Everything is for thee and not for me.

Even if you found something else internally the ongoing performance stack rankings will get you.

I was redeployed in November, and found another position within Capital One in about a month.

It's true. Right before the agile layoffs I've seen managers move their pets to a "technical program" or "risk" role and these people kept their jobs. If they wanted to keep those in the agile family they would have moved them to a different job family before the cut.

When I was in redeployment, my own team had a vacant position open (it would have been a demotion for me) and was told that more highly qualified candidates than me were being considered. Once they decide they don’t want you….they don’t want you.

I was told in a meeting today with someone above the SVP level that ADLs are to be replaced by technical program managers who can fix code. I thought the product managers were suppose to do that? You see how confusing the message is? If you're being redeployed I won't put too much faith in C One rhey aren't trustworthy.
