Ok lol.. wow. What a loser. This must be the same guy who goes in to blow the bathrooms up and say things like, “ohhh hey haven’t seen ya in 2 years! How are ya?” Or “yeah I love these new coffee pods”

We have numerous open positions on my team, attrition has driven everyone out. We can’t hire anyone with experience in our geographic constraints.

If it was remote we could pull top talent. It’s sad to see RTO taking precedent over talent and performance. It won’t end well

It makes sense that those with limited imagination would like going to the office. There's a lot more than 2 options, and none end well for these hacks in NYC.

Maybe we are all secretly hoping Charlie will see the light, and change his mind. Wishful thinking perhaps, but if we all just go along with it, then it seems like we agree with him, and we don't want to do that. It's the "better together" and "collaboration" nonsense that makes it all the more aggravating. Someone in Charlie's position is having a vastly different experience than someone who now comes in at 5:30 after commuting a bit over an hour, because coming in later means commuting more than 2 hours with all the traffic. Or the person who used to go to one office 20 minutes away, and now gets to more than triple the commute. Or the people who have no privacy while conducting their work tasks due to neighborhood seating. Apparently information security is no longer an issue.

For real! RTO or get fired. Quit complaining about it, those are the two choices, pick one.

Only A holes like going to an office for no reason. In some LOBs it makes sense. For thousands and thousands people however, it's a complete waste of time, it narrows the talent pool, and it pi---s off workers for literally zero benefit. This kind of BS is how quiet quitting happens. People fundamentally understand that there's no reason for it other than Charles' ego and to push people out. He wants to get rid of every single worker that's been here longer than him, including you OP.
