Wow. Ford should ask for a refund for the sh#t advice Hackett purchased and implemented. That together with the money they lost from the age discrimination case...Ford is a train wreck of its own making. I guess hiring and fast promoting kids and people from the outside with no manufacturing or automotive experience and simultaneously getting rid of experience wasn't too great of an idea. Massive quality problems because the new kids are clueless and those left are sitting back watching them fail.

Tesla is only the winning team because of all the tax money and carbon credits that the globalist cabal gave them. Sure they do a lot of things very well but .... still...
I consider Boston Consulting the new noisy neighbors and Gesatpo, randomly pointing the finger at any employee for summary departure.
Tesla is not winning. Ev is a house of cards. Gvnt inflates the price of gas to try and make ev more appealing to customer along with faux environmental benefits. Also they give out seed money to companies for development and offer tax breaks to Ev. They are pushing harder then when they tried during Obama administration. They won’t be able to influence the market any longer now that the jig is up and ev is not the defacto transportation solution and environmental savior it is propped up to be. Low range, bad in cold weather, expensive to produce and damages environment when produced and spontaneously combusts.maybe I’m wrong?
Farley would be Lumburg, and Boston Consulting would be the two Bobs
Unfortunately, Tesla appears to be the winning team. I would not want to work for Tesla, since they would drive you into the ground.
Boston Consulting reminds me of the movie Office Space.
You have to watch it. The similarities to Ford is hilarious.
You’ll thank me later for the laughs
We used to do systems engineering at Ford and catch problems before they reached the customer. Sure, we found them late, but we stopped them at the assembly plant or caught the issues at an earlier build. We would methodically document our lessons learned and share them with the team. This became tribal knowledge and was passed down to the newer hires. At one time, Ford really was like a family. Those were days of old.
everyone knows that boston is a hotbed of automotive expertise :)
i wish i could paste the picture of the laughing horse that scotty kilmer uses
The days of make what you can and raise the prices is over. Tesla’s are coming down in price. Ford needs to get their ICE plants back to three shifts and 60/hr with no excuses. Ford didn’t get an E this quarter but an F. Sure eV’s are the future, but they have a lot of ICE products people will buy now! They need to throw experience Engineers at their production problems. Quick! He-l bring back the Gen X’er’s & Boomer’s as temps to get things running again. Place Engineers in the plants and suppliers to push quality product. Flood the market with F Series, Broncos, Rangers, and Mavericks. Currently Ford is a poorly ran company. Changes need to be made starting at the top this time.
Nobody wants to do the hard work to fix quality.
Somebody needs to stand up to marketing and reduce the build complexity.
Reuse instead of reinvent. Evolve designs. We waste too much time thinking that the customer cares
Make a car for the masses. A tire world car without all the bells and whistles. Price it accordingly
10/100000 powertrain warranty
Make a BEV that is no nonsense and fits the needs of the masses. None of this the fastest or most range. No towing or ability to power the city block. Just get to work and back without much fuss. Better yet make it an affordable hybrid so it can never leave you stranded.
