Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Fire the CXOs

Fire the CXOs, the VPs, the directors and management. They have the responsibility of making business decisions and they are the ones that should face the consequences, not the workers. I have wondered why executives making bad decisions or not being able to plan ahead correctly - that’s what they get paid for - pass the buck with impunity to those who had nothing to do with the problem in the first place. And it's the common workers who get fired.

Too many managers, directors and VPs!
The organization chart is a mess. You can see VPs reporting to Directors.

Whilst I don’t disagree renegade; why you still there? If you feel that harshly about it, leave. I’ll say again, I’m not disagreeing with your sentiments just wondering why you’re even still there if you’re that bitter about it, just go.

That's the way the chain of command works; in civilian, military, or government.

Only certain executives and leaders are empowered and enabled to make decisions.

Those that do not like the system, can make the choice not to be part of the system.

That is the price we pay to for our freedom. Don't build an alliance or reliance on anyone or anything you don't trust. Don't be afraid to walk away if things don't feel right.

Stop trying to make a relationship work, that inherently has a track record of poor trust between parties involved.

Lower your expectation of work and any company loyalty or expected outcomes, and you'll be much happier.

Companies aren't going to look out for their employees anymore. Don't place faith that they will. Put yourself first. If it doesn't feel right, it isn't. Move on if you do not trust the system.
