Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

HR are clearly terrified of people not signing for cuts

Local HR information meetings about the cuts are full of guilt and void of useful information

Nothing happens. Sign and you lose. Don’t sign and you may lose.

Nothing happens. Just don't sign up. Be professional and simply say no. If they press, take notes in the meeting on who said what, speak to an attorney and do not sign up for pay cuts. Explain that you have your own problems and your salary is budgeted with funds committed. You do not need to provide a reason.

Nothing happens, don’t sign. Unionise and let HR in GER get fired first.

Welcome to the prisoner's dilemma. Agree to the cut and potentially lose your job anyway because others don't, or don't agree and potentially lose your job.

in the EU it is optional to sign. In the US, Pat gets to ram his Die Botschaft up your Amish.

They'll make other cuts from your business group to hit the target (e.g. more layoffs)
