Has everyone who doesn't want to sit in an ocean of 1X's already left? Or more attrition to come?

I refuse to touch anyone else's bu---r stained keyboard especially since I have an aversion to touching my own.
It has been said here before and it will be said here again:
Middle-aged men insisted on a wholesale return to the office, and they have gotten their wish.
The problem seems to have been one of expectations. The people who most stridently demanded that everyone be in the office appear to have envisioned a 1980s-esque office setting, complete with corner offices, mini-bars, and the like. The only things missing would be Ronald Reagan and cassette tapes.
Sorry, but it’s 2023. This is how we office now. If you don’t like it, start applying to remote jobs. Or better just don’t bother showing up.
The scheme is designed to not allow you to have belongings. They could have given everyone a cubicle, but then you would have all those pesky things like family pictures, awards, class binders/books, etc that cost money to move around.
I’ll be bringing my mouse and keyboard home with me daily. As long as they provide cleaning wipes to clean desks in the morning I think I can adjust. Fortunately I don’t have any ergo issues.
You are a fool if still here and not looking for employment elsewhere. What kinds of signs do you need before getting off this sinking ship?
Exxon hunger games. Pips and now desk swapping = germ swapping and lowering your over all immunity. Better keep the insurance to paid for all of the heath-care needs.
I think the Execs are pushing Hotdesking to increase attrition.
Record profits and try to save Pennies by abandoning so many owned buildings that there are not enough desks for employees.
Attrition increase is the only logical motivation.
Can’t wait to use a different keyboard everyday.
it's just another annoying detail and will be different person to person. I would not be happy with that arrangement and it would definitely increase my daily frustration and likelihood to leave.
I am so anxious about it … I’ve updated my resume …started shopping around. Been here over 25 years and this is the grossest thing they’ve done so far. No EQ at the highest levels running the place.
I don’t think the desk issue is enough to quit over. I moved to campus very early and I was part of We3. I didn’t care about an assigned desk. I liked the flexibility of moving around. I did it for 3 years and loved it.
