There are always layoffs every quarter. We just don't hear about them because they are a small number. Usually when you hear about it it someone you know.
This is why I don't understand why so many people are asking if layoffs are done. Layoffs are never done at Dell. You might have gotten lucky so far not to hear about any of the small cuts, but they are happening all the time. There is no job safety here.
