I thought it was just me, now it's confirmed 8 out of 10 telecommuters are overemployed. There is no doubt the money is great, I make $165K at at&t, and make $155K at my other company. What is really strange is that I feel like I could take on another job, making three. If you get the opportunity to take on another job, join the party, you wont regret it.

There you go again with your all participants get a trophy attitude. I don't care what you do, telecommuting or not. I'm enjoying working two FT telecommuting jobs, received the eqivalent of exceeds from at&t and my other employer. Admit that not everyone can work two jobs simultaneously. Those that can will do so and get rich doing it.

OP here, yes it's true. Just stating the facts. In this current environment if you are not overemployed, you are cheating yourself. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks! I just love the income!
OP never mentions what the "second job" is. Away with thee troll! You don't have a second job.
OP is correct. Many work at home are no t working full time. Impossible to prove because systems can be fudged with “tickets worked”.
We have small system and ops groups hidden throughout the company and leaders don’t look that low. So many taking advantage of a full time work at home job for part time hours. Relook the work from home allowance and many deadbeats will fall off and save company money.
OP is desperate for attention.
I make $7.2M annually in my part-time gig at ATT. My other gig pays $1.8M.......

You must be one of the family members that don’t use your spare time playing golf, kissing up or going to useless meeting with leadership. Got hand it to you at least you are ambitious enough to double up your income, ethics be dammed.
Troll! Don’t know what position you have but I can barely keep up with only one I have. Time for the company to reevaluate your position or cut your pay in half if you do have that much time.
For those who are not overemployed, time to reconsider. You won't regret it, with 8 out of 10 telecommuters leading the way, it's a great way to nearly double your income. Most employees can work two jobs simultaneously without issues. Why not give it a try?
Groups that have high headcount need to be reduced by 25 percent.
Speaking of low output and overpaid, on a tangent here, are they still using and paying for GPS with support personnel on the company vehicles ? Another big waste of money, especially for the managers, CO and center technician’s vehicles. It’s a million plus a year expenditure last I heard several years ago.
There may be a case made for Construction and I&M forces, including Wire techs but even then the actual amount of incidents vs benefit to have gps in these hard times should be an easy decision to stop using gps, it’s a low hanging fruit for cost reduction. Those dollars add up to the bottom line.
The overpaid next level should manage their employees. Which person is aggressive and goal oriented and which is coasting thru and keeping a high direct report head count?
Anyone who can support multiple jobs at T right now won’t be around for long.
The company can no longer support a low output employee.
Appears you need more responsibilities with all that free time. You must have one of the friends and family do little positions. One of the power point and spreadsheet jockeys.
