Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

It is inevitable in the Wireless Space

That TDS will get bought out well north of $20+ per share by one of the big 3. Cricket, Metro PCS, Voicestream, ATT Wireless....the struggling operators always get bought for a good premium.

@gdt+1l9hqupX - US Cellular is the only carrier that still owns their own Towers. Recent Tower Deals are in the area of $400K per Tower. Those will be picked up quickly by a AMT, CCI, or SBAC. At $400K per Tower that would be $1.6B The Postpaid Base, The Spectrum, Picking up major share in certain markets. I think Verizon will make a move on them as they already have a standing relationship with their Los Angeles Partnership.

If you don’t own your own network, you don’t control your cost. That means you have limited bargaining power in price in an acquisition since all you can really provide is a customer base, and companies like AT&T are growing without acquisitions. TDS needs to be bought far more that any buyer needs TDS.
